PURPOSE; The 10th National Conference on Nursing Administration Research is one in a series of biennial conferences offering clinical leaders, researchers, educators, policy makers and graduate students a forum for discussion of issues relating
to nursing's impact on improving health and the delivery of health and nursing services. The conference focus is: Fashioning the Future: Enhancing Care Through Nursing Health Services.
Nursing health services research lies at the intersection of nursing research and health services research. Nursing health services researchers work closely with other disciplines to develop knowledge, both basic and applied, for the
purposes of:
- improving the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the organization and delivery of nursing and health care services;
- improving access to care and reducing health disparities in minority and vulnerable populations;
- ensuring an adequate nursing workforce to meet the health needs of society.
You are invited to submit an abstract of your research or scholarly work to be considered for paper, symposium, or poster presentation at the meeting.
CONFERENCE GOALS:
- Explore the impact of nursing health services research on the major areas outlined above: improving the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the organization and delivery of nursing and health care services; improving access to care and reducing health
disparities in minority and vulnerable populations; and ensuring an adequate nursing workforce to meet the health needs of society;
- Engage in opportunities to exchange information and develop collaborative nursing health services research programs with colleagues and leaders in the field from around the world;
- Expand methodological expertise in the areas of hierarchical linear modeling and cost effectiveness analysis;
- Identify innovative educational strategies that will enhance the understanding, development, and utilization of nursing health services research.
