Directions to Dogwood Deck/Visitors’ Parking Deck:

From Greensboro

  • Take I-40 East toward Chapel Hill.  Use Exit 270 (15-501), turn right at top of ramp towards Chapel Hill.
  • Take slight left at the intersection of E. Franklin Street (to stay on 15-501 South Bypass/Fordham Blvd).
  • Go approximately 3.1 miles
  • Turn right onto Manning Drive. The Dogwood Deck is on your left (1 mile)
  • (You will also be following signs to Trauma Center)

From Raleigh

  • Take I-40 towards Durham/Chapel Hill – Exit 273B towards Chapel Hill
  • Continue approximately 3-4 miles. Take 2 nd exit towards UNC Trauma Center (will be just past Glen Lennox Shopping Center)
  • Merge onto 15-501 South
  • Turn right onto Manning Drive.
  • Health Affairs Parking Deck is on you left 1 mile
  • (You will also be following signs to Trauma Center)

From Raleigh:

  • Take I-40 West towards Durham/Chapel Hill.
  • Use Exit 273 towards Chapel Hill
  • Continue approximately 3-4 miles. Take 2nd exit, 15/501 South and 54 West Bypass (go under overpass before exiting to right) towards UNC Trauma Center (will be just past Glen Lennox Shopping Center)
  • Turn right onto Manning Drive.
  • Dogwood Deck is on your left 1 mile
  • (You will also be following signs to Trauma Center)

From Durham

  • Take Hwy 15-501 South
  • Take slight left at the intersection of E. Franklin Street (to stay on 15-501 South Bypass/Fordham Blvd)
  • Turn right onto Manning Drive.
  • Dogwood Deck is on your left 1 mile
  • (You will also be following signs to Trauma Center)

**Please allow about 15-20 minutes for parking and walking to the school.

Walking Directions from Dogwood Parking Deck:
The parking deck is directly across from UNC Hospitals. Cross the street toward hospital. Turn toward your left (toward Columbia Avenue). Walk to the intersection of Columbia Street and Manning Drive (1-2 blocks). Turn right at this intersection. Walk about 2 blocks and the UNC School of Nursing (Carrington Hall) will be on your right. The school is on the corner of Columbia Street and Medical Drive.

The Continuing Education Dept office and L700 CE classroom are located in the new addition to Carrington Hall. The best entrance to use is the one located across from the Health Affairs bookstore on Medical Drive. You will enter the building on the lobby (L) level. Come down the hallway to the CE Dept office or the CE classroom (L700).
